On Saturday, 9th May 2026, five brave members of the FSE Digital team (Fern, Katy, James, Jamie and Chris) will be swapping solid ground for the open skies as they take on an unforgettable challenge: a skydiving jump of a lifetime.

They’ll be taking part in The Big Jump to raise vital funds for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT). This incredible charity provides advanced pre-hospital emergency care across Essex and Hertfordshire. When the worst happens and every second matters, EHAAT’s critical care teams are there in an instant, bringing hospital-level treatment directly to patients at the scene.

For the people they help and the families who depend on them, these crews can mean the difference between hope and heartbreak.

Why We’re Doing It

Skydiving may sound like a huge challenge (and it definitely is), but it’s nothing compared to the challenges faced every day by the patients and families supported by EHAAT.

Their helicopters and rapid response vehicles bring specialist doctors and critical care paramedics directly to life-threatening emergencies, providing treatments that would normally only be available in a hospital emergency department.

From serious road traffic collisions to cardiac arrests, traumatic injuries and medical emergencies, their work saves lives every single day.

But this vital service depends heavily on public support.

EHAAT themselves say:

‘Without access to National Lottery funding and with only limited support from the Government, we rely upon the generosity and goodwill of the people and businesses of Essex and Hertfordshire to remain operational and keep saving lives. We can’t fly without you.’

A Leap for Life

This jump isn’t just about adrenaline; it’s about making a real difference.

As Fern, Katy, James, Jamie and Chris step out of that plane, they’ll be doing it for the patients who rely on EHAAT in their most critical moments.

Every donation, big or small, helps ensure their teams can continue delivering specialist emergency care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your support helps keep helicopters in the air, critical care teams on the ground, and lifesaving treatment reaching those who need it most.

How You Can Help

If you’re able to support this incredible cause, there are a few simple ways you can help:

Together, we can help make sure that when the call comes in, EHAAT can answer it.

Thank you so much for your support!
